The mission of the Town of Wawarsing Court is to insure justice, thereby serving and protecting the public by: Providing access to fair, just and understandable forums for the timely resolution of differences and disputes; Applying and enforcing all laws in a timely and equitable manner; and taking appropriate corrective, remedial, rehabilitative and preventive actions and using appropriate progressive programs.
Non Criminal Traffic Matters are heard on Wednesday's 1:00pm as well as Small Claims and Civil matters. We do not plea bargain by mail, if you would like the court to consider a reduction, you or your attorney must make a court appearance. If you wish to plead not guilty fill out section B on your uniformed ticket and return by mail to the address located on the bottom of the ticket. The court will respond with a court date, if you chose to plead guilty fill out section A and the court will respond with a fine notice. Please verify that the information on the ticket is accurate.

The Court only accepts cash, money order, Visa or Mastercard or certified check. Personal checks will be returned. The court does not take payment over the phone. We also accept payment through a online payment system www.paycourtonline.com (An Additional Service fee applies)
Criminal Matters are heard on Friday's 8:30am and are prosecuted by the Ulster County District Attorney's Office. Proper Court Attire is required. No cell phones, cameras, recording devices, or any other electronic devices will be permitted. No firearms or any other weapons permitted. No food, beverages or gum allowed.
